Canada Day For Some But Chemo Day For Me.

The latest scoop is that I should be up and running for getting me some chemo first thing tomorrow morning. So if you don’t hear from me for a couple days do not fret. I will be back.

I'll be thinking of ya. Hope things go well this time around. Two-thirds done!

misfit-thanks for the hugs. I think everything will go fine.

Sharkey-thanks for the good thoughts. Unfortunately my chemo has changed so I have two extra treatments but the doses are less. So this will now make the halfway mark. That will teach me to plan ahead while going through this. Everything is so changeable.

We will be sending good vibes your way over the next couple of days and patiently awaiting your return.

I wanted to say Happy Canada Day! Maybe it's more like Have the Best Chemo Day that you possibly can. I know, that sounds dumb, but you know what I mean.

I hope you are amazed at how smoothly today goes. You're in my heart. I'm off to volunteer at Girl Scout Camp this afternoon (it's noon here, now); LG's last day.

Well, our server was down at work ALL FRICKIN' DAY today, so I'm just now seeing your Thursday post.

Hoping everything went well today, that side effects are minimal, and that you'll be back here with your blogging buddies quick-as-a-wink.

HUGS and blessings to you, Kranki.

P.S. - Love that cool aluminum wall.

fuel-Yoshi hates everybody. Consider it a badge of honour. Can't wait to see the photos of Satan. The nipple capsules are long gone now. It was just a one day affair. Wearing them at home just felt weird.

susie-everything IS going smoothly. Hope camp was fun. Did you get any badges?

lbo-what was your Canada Day all aboot?

spoonleg-Happy 4th of July to you and Oscarcito. Does he have a patriotic costume?

ladybug-glad you liked the wall. Thanks so much for your good thoughts. Everything is going fine.

Vanessa-hey, thanks! Right back at you in Arkansas!

spoonie-Yoshi loves Oscar. It is people she doesn't like. Especially people who want to pet her.

sqirl-feeling surprisingly good considering. Will be right as rain soon.

kranki, I had a lovely new visitor today, and when I went to her site, I discovered a delightful post about what she and a friend have done to her pretty, chemofied head. Check her out:

Hi Stacey:

Well I am glad Susie steered you into my blog. I am not sure how I fell into her's but I did and
the rest is history.

Now I read a few of your post's.
And I so know where you are coming from CANCER SUCKS! The treatment
sucks....but the treatment is what will set "us free".

Now Susie indicated in her post
above mine...about my art work on my head...The artist is my sister
Shoshie-who is also-my stem-cell-donor...or as we call her SCD.

Those shot's you wrote about in
the US we call the neupogeon
(spelling not sure)...anyway
they usually work really well.
I have had them and they have kept
my rear out of the hospital. I get mine in my stomach...and they
don't hurt. A little sting and you are good to go...that is if we are talking about the same thing. The
key is they have to push it in really slow........

I am lucky my partner is a M.D
an Internist...any my oldest
sister is a M.D. and she is a
Psychiatrist...the truth be told
my sister is way better at giving me the shots then my partner.

I hope you have friends, family
who are helping you on this journey. I have not been blogging long...but I have read some
great blogs, and I have had some
really super support from some fellow bloggers. Who would ever think that with a few key strokes someone can make you smile...
or make what we have...better
because of somebody getting it...
or stopping by just to say HI...I hope your doing OK....

As you can see I just type away I don't think about sentence structure, spelling, blah...blah
blah....I think all of that stuff
is way over-rated any old way!

I have been on a leave from work for the last 4 months....I was
Dx 11 months ago....and worked on and off the first 7...but I do medical research at a hospital
and it was just getting way to
hard for me to really focus on those old petri dishes, slides....
etc....They are great and said JUST GO....

Ok enough of my blabbering...
Any time you need a pep talk
just stop by...and I will stop by
to see how you are doing.

I sometimes I kid you not stand
in our kitchen and scream as loud as I can....and that helps me
until our dog goes nuts.....

Take care...good luck....and
chocolate is a must when you
have cancer....it's oart of my
treatment plan :)

Shalom,
Sarah
