Just Some Photos Of My Jewellery

I simply cannot think of anything to write about today. I had such a mellow weekend and didn't do a thing except nap, read and watch DVDs. Fabulous.

I was feeling a bit guilty about the possibility of not posting today but I guess nothing new and exciting is a good thing when healing from cancer. So I am just going to feel good about the lack of excitement.

Instead I am posting a couple photos of my jewellery.

This ring was the very first ring I ever made in school.

This is a broach I made in the style of Francis Bacon. We could interpret this style any way we wanted. I took a more literal route.

I really love the ring. Both pieces are very interesting; good conversation pieces.

I would love to have the talent that you do.

Or at the very least, I would love to be a piece of metal molded by your hands. hehehe Rawwwrr!

Oh, I love them both. The ring can also be a very painful weapon when used appropriately!

What great pieces! I love brooches that are unlike the standard crystal covered flowers you might find in abundance in department stores or in your Grandmother's jewelry box. I agree with everyone else -- youare very talented!

You really are good. Yes, the others are right. That ring could really be a weapon. :-)

kassi-thanks so much. I have actually worn the ring a few times.

jess r-you are so sweet. I wish I still had a studio so I could make some more groovy stuff.

twisted u-only if you post more of your works of art too.

ah spoonie, thanks!

dima-the ring was called a Party Ring so that you had the thingie dangling on the chain to play with if you were nervous and the pointy stone was to poke out your own eye if you really needed an excuse to leave. Can you tell I am not very social? And now it can be used if a guy get too fresh...

kalki-I bet if you took a silversmithing course you could make some mighty fine stuff yourself, girlie!

happyandblue2-I thought about it but decided it wasn't ladylike.

jeanette-thanks! The funny thing is that I really don't wear jewellery. Figures...

amanda b-frankly it is a miracle that they let me use the tools.

magical m-*BLUSH*

fuel-I cannot remember what started the pope series. The F Bacon was a one off.

squirl-thanks so much. Looking back I realise that a lot of my jewellery was somewhat weaponish...
