Crush Your Cat's Head Friday-Guest Crusher AND Crushee

Kristine from Random and Odd crushing a beloved child. Thanks for helping me out this week!

Because I have the flu to end all flu. Flu so bad I will never forget these last 4 days. They have been etched into my brain as the worst time ever in my life. And that is coming from someone who has had cancer and gone through chemo. It has sucked ASS. Also the apartment above mine caught on fire today and I had to evacuate my smelly, barfy, weak, unnourished body down 6 flights of stairs with a surprisingly heavy cat. I am fine and my place is fine but upstairs don't look too good. I have about an inch of sooty sludge on my balcony too. More details to come.

Oh. And blogger was down on Friday too. Fucker.

Seriously, what irony that you would move out of your death trap apartment where you worried about the place being burned down by dumb upstairs neighbors, only to move into a brand new apartment that you have to evacuate because of a fire in your upstairs neighbors' apartment? That's like when I breathed a sigh of relief after moving from Seattle to Georgia because I wouldn't have to worry about volcanos and earthquakes anymore, only to wake up to an earthquake weeks after I moved.

ditto what anon said about the fire.

get well soon.

Oh Kranki,
My best thoughts are with you. This last year (while better for me in that it didn't include cancer or chemo) has also sucked. Sometimes, I feel like if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. But things always get better. Don't they? (Please, don't they?)

if anyone deserves a break, it's you.I'm sure Yoshi (while being absolutely mortified that her human lugged her like a sack of potatoes down the stairs) appreciates your effort. And soot washes off.

Here's hoping you feel better and that you took your "fob" with you when you evacuated.

p.s. Love the guest crushees.

Get well soon! Have Yoshi make you lots of hot green tea to drink.

I was going to say chicken soup...

At least your apartment is OK; if it was the last building you'd be homeless now!

Hope you feel better soon my beautiful friend!

Get better soon, punkin! The flu is a nasty, nasty thing, especially when your immune system is so down in the dumps as yours is sure to be! Have some hot tea, relax, sleep, and snuggle with the yoshster.

Oh, honey, I'm glad you and Yoshi are okay. I hope you're feeling better and your apartment will be alright.

Love and (hermetically sealed to prevent contagion) hugs to you, dear.

Same sentiments as everyone above about the fire and your flu. I hope you're feeling better by now. Make sure you get some electrolytes.

And how nice of Kristine to crush her daughter's head for us. :)

Geez, I hope you feel better soon. What a total bummer to be sick and then be so freakin' scared by a fire too. I'm glad you are alright. Peace.
