Crush Your Cat's Head Friday-Monday Edition

Feeling much better thanks! And to make it up to you for my lack of Friday posting I offer you a video. The lovely Leigh-Ann from The Blog Pound and Wee Paws Animal Sanctuary sent Yoshi a wonderful catnip toy for her to try out and give feedback on. Things didn't go quite as planned.

Who am I kidding? Yoshi pulls this shit all the time.

Cats are such pains in the asses sometimes. :)

She looks totally paranoid at the end of the clip there. (Also, I never noticed her cute mohawk before!)

Still and all, lovely footage of Her Highness..... And just like any normal kid: gets more out of the packaging than the actual toy inside. :) Glad you're feeling better, Kranki!!

jesus christ.

Here's my theory -- the organic catnip in the toy was so overpowering, that Yoshi was already stoned by the time she started to play with the bag. What do you think.

Sorry it didn't work out as I'd hoped... my cats really adore those little catnip toys. And seriously, doesn't it smell so potent that you'd maybe consider giving it a little smoke if you were desperate?

If nothing else, I'll take comfort in your excellent production values. And I'll crawl off to the lab to do more catnip toy research.

I'm grinning so hard the corners of my mouth ache!

I so needed a treat this morning, thank you for this!

One night last week as we were watching something on TV, I heard Frankie messing with something, but couldn't see him as he was on the other side of the coffee table. Dottie sat straight up, turned on the light and yelled at him as I tried to see what was going on.

He had pulled an Oreo bag off the table and was pouncing straight up and down on it, I guess 'cuz it made such a nice crinkling noise...

For 3 days no matter where we put that bag he found it!

He also found one of Yoshi's toys for the first time the other day...a Q-Tip...I had never realized how far the cotton on one could be stretched!

Thank you again for the smile you brought me!

I absolutely adore Yoshi, including the little mohawk she's sporting at the moment.

I don't have a box, bag or plastic wrap that my cat hasn't lived in for an hour or a week. What's that about??

Cats are such ungrateful bastards. (Can you tell I'm still bitter about the Awesome Cat Tubes! that they totally ignored?! Grr.)

In all fairness, who doesn't get off on a small, tantalizing, plastic baggy? It's the best part of a present. I totally understand this preference.

:)

And loved the music to this video...

When this cat gets a dime bag, she's really in it for the bag.

Reminds me of a dream I had a couple of nights ago. I might post it.

Thanks for wonderful Yoshi laugh.

Yoshi looks poised to deny the whole incident by the end of the video.

What software do you use to make your Yoshi film sagas?

yoshi cracks me the fuck up!!

i have this overwhelming urge to go play with a baggie. Right now. I could never do it as elegantly as Yoshi though. Although, if I use your music, I might just get a little jiggy with it!

awesome video...your creativity, as usual, was empowering!

(or maybe it was just the catnip)

Yoshi the Ridged. She looks a little evil with that.

Happy Monday! (oh - it's Wednesday now)

Yoshi is a normal cat. At the moment Alex is playing with (in) a box and ignoring all of his toys that are spread around the room.

BTW, Alex ignores all catnip toys; he wants only the real herb, raw, that he can not only sniff but also gobble.
