Can You Fear Me Now?

My mom, at the age of 74, just got her first cell phone on Monday.

Me-I guess this means you'll be calling me a million times a day.
Mom- NO! Why would I do that?
Me-Because you can.
Mom- *evil giggle*

Kalki wrote a while back about things that make her feel like an adult. I asked my mom and she said using her new phone made her feel that way. I guess this means you are never too old to feel like a grown-up.

JP's mom (71) LOVES her cell phone. In fact, she wore the first one out because she used it so much. She can't figure out how to retrieve voice mails, but she has the talking part down!

Good for Mom!

Good for your mom! She'll be hooked soon. David's mom has an iPhone. She freakin' loves it.

My Mom cannot use any other piece of recent technology, but her cell phone is an exception. She calls me at least 3x a week. She's a pro now! Welcome to my world!! =)

My mom would not use the computer and she never had a cell phone. They just weren't things she felt comfortable with. Good for your mom. But watch out for that evil giggle.

Don’t worry about the calls. My mother is 84 and she keeps misplacing her cell phone—in the pocket of the housecoat she’s usually wearing.

Aww, that is cute. Both the first phone and that it makes her feel like an adult. If she is like my mom, though, she will NEVER HAVE IT ON. My mom is like, "Why would I have it on if I don't need to make a call?" Um, maybe because I might be trying to call you?! Cell phoning is a two-way street!

Mom has had a cell for years. She still can't remember how to answer, and doesn't know her password for voicemail. I kind of dig that about her.

Snappy New Year, Goddess! And a good one to the Yoshinator as well.
