Savage Bummer

As of today we have had 24 days straight of rain. In that time frame we have had only 6 hours of sun. No change of weather in sight.

Feeling very pruney right now. Please send life raft.

I saw today on the Weather Channel that you guys are going for the record!! Woohoo! (not that you have much control over that...).

The record to break is 28 days. Go for it Kranki. Go for it!!

24 days?! I mean, rain is nice from time to time, but even two days of rain in a row makes me gloomy.

Here's hoping for sun...

The long range forecast is for the rain to stop in the Spring. Hang in there.
You could start building an Ark if you are bored. And collecting two of each animal..

And we will take your rain and it has been ridiculously dry for several months. We want rain! Lots of wildfires here..........

I'll trade you grassfires for some of that rain. It's so terribly dry here.

Time to stay in, sip on hot tea, curl with Yoshi, and watch TV 24/24 :)

I was going to say, we have not had an inch of rain in over 8 months. Wee!

Praying for spongy clouds!

Come on over to my site. We actually had a clear day ALL DAY here. I took a series of pictures and posted them.

Oh yes, welcome to rainy, rainy Kelso, WA as well.
I'm rather tired of it.
Plus, I still don't own an umbrella.

That is such a cool photo. Im sorry for the rain...but now you have no excuse to not hole in and read some books :)

I wish we could trade. I'm dying for some wintery rain, instead of 80 degree weather in freaking January.

See, now over here on the OTHER side of the Cascades, we've had sun, a little bit of snow, and then more sun. So that settles it. You should move here, Kranki.

Oh yeah, the rain. We live in the foothills of Mt Hood, and have been enduring the same rain...forever...and getting the day in day out flood watch for the river...
I am here by way of Trish at Blogging For A Cause. I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma with lymph node involvement in 5/2002. I am cancer-free, as of today. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or visit me at my blog...
I like you right away, just because of your email address..my daughter's nickname is FancyPants...she is an indie filmmaker and movie/stage actress.

Why not go into hibernation? Never mind the rain, make your grocery shopping HUGE and then stay inside until summer. We do.

leafgirl77--you are so right. I think we might do it. Even if we don't break it we have had over 50% more rain in the same time period as when that record was made in the 50's. Not only has it been rainy but VERY rainy. UG!

kalki-it has been so terribly depressing. And we are used to rain. But there is a bit of sun today. Not what most would call sun but close enough.

happyandblue2-Don't even go there with the Spring thing. As far as the ark thing goes I have the mice covered.

circe-if you had half you'd be totally fire free. We've had over a foot of rain in 3 1/2 weeks.

the mom-I thought you were my mom commenting for a minute. I call her The Mom! LOL. I hope you enjoy your Victoria visit. They actually have less rain than us as the clouds hit the mountains here and dump their load. You should be good.

ladybug-it is certainly a season of extremes, isn't it?

dima-I have that covered TOTALLY!

holy schmidt-we have had over a foot of rain in the last 3 1/2 weeks!

trish-isn't it just awful? I don't know who is to blame but when I find out there will be HELL TO PAY!

squirl-your sun photos made me all weepy. I miss the sun.

madam debarge-isn't that funny? I don't usually use an umbrella either. But it has been so bad that I've had to. Or else be drowned.

swlf-nikki-thanks so much. Big Sigh! I have been eating waaay too emotionally lately. The blahs are pretty bad.

kassi-the library has been my second home lately. I really don't mind the rain for that.

ern-that is probably just as bad. What is up with the seasons this year?!?

dalene-I am so glad you are doing ok now. I had lymph node involvement too. Thanks for stopping by. It makes me feel better to talk to survivors. I'll check out your blog soon. Thanks for coming by.

lifecruiser-honestly, I haven't been out for several days. I don't go out unless I HAVE to. I am a natural hibernator anyway so I was well prepared to hunker down.

ECLECTIC!-sorry! I missed you! It must have been all the taunting with lovely weather.

We hit 27 days in a row here, just south of you, I think, before we had to start the count all over because the damn sun had to come out. So we couldn't break the record of 33 days. ;)
