Crush Your Cat's Head Friday-The Wrath, Oh The Wrath

So a few of you have asked me what is wrong with Yoshi due to my Yoshi Barf Watch updates on Twitter.

Lulu my Almost Dog is staying over until next Tuesday. Her momma and pappy are in Winnipeg and her sister dog Xiola is at her Grandma’s house. Lulu doesn’t like Grandma’s lab puppy so she is hanging out with me.

As usual Yoshi is pitching a fit. I will be videoing her operatic discontent for your viewing pleasure next week. If she wasn’t so miserable it would be funny.

Who am I kidding? It is funny.

When I brought Lulu home that first time Yoshi stopped eating and started puking in protest. Hence Barf Watch and Hunger Strike news.

This is how things stand now:

Yoshi ate fairly normally on Thursday, the first day Lulu arrived. By evening her Hunger Strike was in full force. However no hurling.

Today I took Lulu out of the house for 7 hours hoping Yoshi would eat and chill the fuck out. No such luck. When I got home I tempted her with tuna which she got very excited about and gobbled down. So much so that she immediately puked it up. She ate some more and that seems to be staying down. For now…

Lulu will be here until Tuesday night. Let’s hope Yoshi can cope until then without popping a neck vein. I’ve fattened her up over the last couple weeks so she has calories to spare right now. But will it be enough…

Just now Yoshi walked within about 6 inches of Lulu and hissed and spit right in her face. Lulu ran to me for protection. I praised them both.

Don’t judge me!

This may or may not be a brand new teddy squeaky toy bought to compensate for all the hating aimed in her direction...

I find Folex to be the best cat-puke-remover for carpet.

Good luck to the warring parties.

I love that you fattened Yoshi up in preparation.

Mail on the way.

Oh my oh my...I was wondering if this was Lulu induced. No judging, just all the sympathy in the world for you three! Man, Yoshi knows how to work the drama.

My vet once suggested giving my cat baby food if she was refusing to eat. Apparently, cats cannot resist it. Also, they're big babies.

I told Rob today that we should totally get a dog, and then followed with, "Who am I kidding? That would give Bridget permanent pee problems." *sigh*

(Not that Rob permit any additional animals anyway. And not that I REALLY want one. Just sometimes.)

Yoshi, can't we all just get along?? =) It's nice that you can spend some time with your Almost Dog. She looks like a real Sweetie.

Oh I'm having a similar situation. I have two cats, one alpha, one (my favorite) who is a "little bit jumpy" in the words of Starman, and into this mix we brought a very alpha Lab/pitbull mix puppy. They (the cats) both hated her on sight, but the alpha-cat has learned to deal. Smaller, and oh so cute jumpy-cat, not so much. And it breaks my heart.

I will tell you, though, there has been progress. We've had puppy for almost four months now, and the jumpy-cat will at last co-exist in a room with her, although if puppy gets too close there is much hissing and spitting. At least, though, jumpy-cat is eating now. It has been a long transition for everyone.

Oh Yoshi, our little drama queen... no one understands how hard your life really is. ;)

We dared to have company this weekend and our youngest 'child,' BW, refuses to come in the house if we pull this unforgivable stunt on him. He holes up in the garage and it took him all day Sunday and a little of this morning to finally get it through his scared little head that they had indeed departed. Yep, 24-hours of absence. *sigh*

Off-topic - I just saw that Yoshi's croc episode is back on YouTube!! I didn't remember the music being there, but who cares!! I posted the comeback (albeit belated) on my webpage - just wanted to say "congratulations" on its return. :)

I'm thinking that Lulu might be home now and Yoshi isn't puking as much. I wondered, too, when I saw the Yoshi barf-watch.

Lulu is so cute. I hope that Yoshi ended her puke fest.
